How often do you find eggs under the roost?

I found 2 eggs under the roost this morning. I went out at 7am this morning and found 2 under the roost. Just puzzled of why or how this happens.

I'm the same way I have twenty five layers and I will find two to three a week under my roost.Just to lazy or couldn't make it to the nest box quick enough I guess.

I find eggs under the roost only when I have very young layers. Like maybe they don't understand what's happening, and one slips out.

Since I don't have any very young layers at present, I haven't seen an egg under the roost in forever.

i just happened to find the same thing this morning, a fart egg and a soft shelled egg , both of them broke or could they have been thrown out of the nest by my obsessive hen that must visit the nest at least a couple hundred times and throws all the bedding out of the nest so that when the other hens go in to lay their eggs end up cracking as there is no bedding left to cushion the eggs
