How should I cook my first chicken?

We have taken our first rooster, about 6 months old. I'm not sure how my husband killed him, but the feathers are plucked, skin is intact he has been in the fridge for about 48 hrs. Any recommendations? Is it better to fry, bake or roast? Any recipe ideas would be wonderful!
 
If your saying it was 6 months old when he butchered it you better slow cook in a crock pot breasts down or use it in a soup or something it will be really tough probably any other way. Which I think you are because you said it has been in fridge 2 days.
