Hello.
I had a easter egger die suddenly yesterday with no clear indications of symptoms leading up to it. I've heard it could be Sudden Death Chicken Syndrome, which leads me to want to know what happened still. I collected her last night, around 7:30, and I found some people that could look at her ("No charge for Tennessee residents for diagnostic tests?" Is it free?) She is not refrigerated, but wrapped in a cloth in my garage. I did not clean her. I haven't called them either.
How should I do this? I could probably do any process around 4:00, as that's when I get back to my house today. Is it too late?
Thanks.

The necropsy is more successful if the body has been refrigerated and done as soon as possible in the days after death. Can you have someone at home put her in the refrigerator in a plastic bag now, or could you take or ship her body sooner? The link you posted has an overnight shipping option. You probably could also deliver the body early tomorrow morning. Sorry for your loss.
