I was told the same thing and After further reading it sounding like bird mites are actually becoming increasingly resistant to permethrin. Permethrin doesn’t kill the eggs so they get born into a permethrin environment they become immune to it as mature mites. I do know that you have to be extremely careful not to bring the mites into your house on your clothes or your skin they become a huge pest like almost like a bedbug because they are nocturnal and they will use humans as hosts and bite you in the night.DE is worthless when it comes to getting rid of mites.
Invest in permethrin If you want to get rid of them.
