How to go about getting rabbits shipped?

I would like to have meat rabbits on our little farm but the only local farm that raises them keeps them in terrible conditions. Are there any breeders out there that would ship rabbits to me to start breeding? Similar to a chicken hatchery, just for rabbits.

Some rabbit breeders do ship, but they have to do it through the airlines just like the dog and cat breeders. Flying in any sort of animal can get pretty pricey. You might check around on Craigslist to see if you can find anyone within reasonable driving distance, or check out the ARBA breeders directory here: https://www.arba.net/breeders.htm

You can also check out the ARBA show schedule to see if there will be any shows close enough to drive to. Usually a few breeders will have something for sale at the show.
