How to raise cuddly chicks

Hi there,

I am supposed to be picking up my first set of newborn chicks this weekend-just wanted to see if anyone has any advice on how to raise cuddly chicks? Thanks in advance!

So, I have found that chicks will just be friendly, while others will not, and it seems to have very little to do with how they are raised. You don't want to excessively handle chicks, that can lead to them having irratic behavior when they grow up (in some cases). Holding them infrequently should be fine.

I probably haven’t raised chickens as long as a lot of people here but what works with me is that I’ll take them out in an inclosed space and just watch them for a few hours, I usually just watch and wait for them to come up to me, now my chickens from my most recent round of raising love to jump on my head and back, this is what worked for me but I wish you the best of luck on raising your chicks!
