Thank you! The little darlings are doing well. I put a small rectangle of cardboard in the brooder and threw some starter on it; they happily peck and scratch at that cardboard for hours and it is so gratifying to hear their happy little chirps.

Welcome! I'm also in Austin and new to BYC! Turns out the quarantine is a great opportunity to kick off our chicken dreams!

Sorry about your loss--I also lost a little gold-laced wyandotte from Callahan's who didn't make it through the night. It's tough!
