Could be Silver Lace Wyandotte - ours looked like that as chicks.

hmm now that ilook at him again, he doesn't have as much white on his face as an aussie chick. maybe SLW... or JG?

I agree that it doesn't have much white on its face. My chicks are from Cackle and are pullets, if that makes a difference.

Does it have any white on the top of its head? I had a Maran that was very similar, but it had a spot of white on its head. Finding a Maran in the bin at the feed store would maybe be unlikely?
