I am new to this chicken thing and I maybe in trouble

I purchased two cukoo marans today thinking they were hens but im not 100% sure and neither was the facility we purchased from. How can i tell?
 
Too early to tell. You gotta wait a couple weeks. Males tend to be bigger and more active though I am basing this on my experience with having two cockerel before. A female could act the same way.
 
Thank you. Is there a way to tell how old they are? We bought them from Orschelns and they didnt really give any information.

Welcome! I would guess they are about a week old looking at the wing feathers. I have read that the male have a larger white spot on their head, and are lighter in color than the females.
 
Ok i really appreciate all of yalls help. Im sure i will be asking more questions as i familiarize myself to chickens.
