We have a couple of those A plastic garden rake works really well, it can be kind of hard getting chickens inside a net. Wave the rake over them to get them to move, and then keep the rake behind them to guide them to the coop. If they try to dart off to one side, block their way with the rake. (If at first they don't get the message, tap them on the wings or bum with the rake and they will know to get away from it )
We've been using this method for months, it's very successful. The only downside is that it doesn't work well for multiple wayward chickens, but if you only have one you should be okay.
