When you say that they grow bigger, faster, and tastier than a cornish x, do you mean that the standard breeds (buff orp, australorp, etc) will put on weight faster and taste better than a cornish?

And about how much time do you think it will take per bird once you are halfway proficient?

yes, apparently any bird will do. Roast capon is considered a fine food, fetching 40 or more dollars for a 13lb bird at specialty shops. I was told about 18 weeks till time and even then you dont have to butcher, they just keep getting better.

YES!!! Very interesting and informative! I have shied away from caponizing because i thought it would be too hard and not really worth the effort..... I am interested in seeing how these turn out. If it's worth the extra effort, It will DEFINITELY be on my to-do list!
