I got the first egg!

Today I went to feed the girls thinking it was going to be a normal day. They were eating dinner and then I glanced at the nesting boxes and saw it, the first egg! I am so excited to finally get an egg.It is so good looking too. I think a Americana layed it. I have twenty hens so I hope to get more eggs soon.

Aww yaaay ! Its so much fun to get that first egg. Ours was white so we immediately compared it to a store bought egg (yeah we were still buying eggs at that point) no comparison.
