As long as where the water is coming from is drinkable (like ours is from our well) and the hose isn't new, I'd go for it.

I read a study the other day that said you would have to drink an enormous amount to be affected by the "toxins" in the hose. Most people let the hot water run out anyway and that flushes the system out apparently.
Go ahead and drink away. It is unlikely that it will kill you.

When the hispanics take the hose off the fausit and then drink.....well NO I will not drink out of a hose. I use to wheni was little but now when plastic is made cheap in china, NOPE! There are bacterieral safe hoses to use with a camper and they do cost. I will not water a garden with one!
