They are in a 4 ft x 2.5 ft brooder with a producers prider coop n brooder heater.3 weeks and it's not even feathering out. Doesn't seem right. You said the other died? Were they under too much or constant heat?

Chick feed should be atleast 18%, if the methionine and Lysine levels haven't been raised.I got it from our local feed store. Same kind they give all their chicks and I believe it's 15% protein organic
Too low for chicks to grow. They need between 18% - 20% protein.I got it from our local feed store. Same kind they give all their chicks and I believe it's 15% protein organic
She's beautiful! It looks like she's trying to be a bit of a frizzle. If she lived this long, it appears she's going to make it!So I'm just updating on my runt/midget chick. She is active n can be very loving but still not growing except her wing feathers n her tail feathers finally started coming in. I do have her on a higher protein feed(18% starter/grower) she turned 1 month old today.
Not necessarily. I had a FtT that stuck around a few months before passingShe's beautiful! It looks like she's trying to be a bit of a frizzle. If she lived this long, it appears she's going to make it!
