The first chick looks like a lavender Cochin. The bird in the front and the bird to the left back of the front are silver Wyandottes. Can't see the other birds too well.

It's a bit early to tell genders, but the closest one in the second picture looks like it could be a lil dude based on comb development.

Thank you so much, a friend of ours daughter gifted us some babies of different ages and we have no idea really what they were. We have a little black one and white one with black legs I was wondering about. Do you know what kind it could be?

Are they a barnyard breed (variety of chickens to breed at will). The black and white ones look like a splash color. You also have a pretty lavender.

I have a copper maran that is black with a white chin and black legs. Is there feathering on the legs? They lay beautifully chocolate colored eggs.

For comparison… our little Silver Laced Wyandotte…

No feathering on the legs, she is fluffier than the rest of them are. I also received 3 polish chicks and a silkie. All at various degrees of age. I guess we will have to wait and see :) I think I have some roosters though and we already have a frizzle roo so we are going to have to figure that out.

Omgoodness ours look just like that! Thank you so much for commenting! They are adorable! They are honestly the dearest things. Such a beautiful chicken as well! I’m hoping to sweet Jesus they are hens because I have just realized that out of 11 babies of mixed ages I probably have 2 polish roosters, 1 lavender Cochin roo, and a welsummer roo and the black legged one is possibly a roo as well! And I have a silkie I have no idea yet. It didn’t even cross my mind when I picked them up that she would have gotten a straight run of babies! I think that is what they are called when they are a mixed bag. I am so new to this. I have one frizzle bantam Cochin roo and a GC hen and was planning to go to a local breeder and buy 8 pullets and call it a day when this happened. I have no idea what to do with all these roosters! Raise them until I can hopefully give them away?
