Greeting. I just got these 2 ducklings, sold as “assorted ducks”, and was wondering what the breed is on them.
The store does offer individual breeds and assorted runners. These look like fawn and white runners? And a friend is thinking these are pekin.
Your options please? They like to stand straight up, looking like a person. I can take more pictures if needed.
Also, any tips are appreciated, I know how to raise chickens, ducks are new to me, hubby wanted ducks so he got 2. I looked up a “crash course”, and am feeling confident but more than willing to accept advice.
Thank you! <3

If they stand tall for the most part, I'd lean towards fawn and white runners. But I would also expect them to have a little more coloring on their heads if they were runners. Maybe give it a few more weeks until they start to get feathers and lose their baby fuzz.

definitely runners. See a how they stand?
Thank you. That’s what I was thinking since they stand straight up and are fairly skinny. Other people where saying Pekin, but I wasn’t sure on that other than they are like the most common duck.
They are starting to get thier feathers, so they look like hell at the moment 😂
I will post some more pictures today, 4 weeks old on Monday.
They are still pretty friendly. They just spent thier 2nd day and first night with the chickens. Day one was fully supervised, day 2 was mostly supervised and I felt comfortable letting them spend the night, checking on them every so often. I put a bunch of towels in the cubby under the coop ramp for them and found them and 2 of the smaller chickens cuddles with them. They did great.
It’s very warm here at night now.
