If for some reason the eggs don't hatch that I put under my broody hen can I sneak chicks under her?

I bought the eggs from someone of craigslist, if for some reason they don't hatch can I put chicks under her on day 23-25? ..Someone told me you can sneak them in at night. Hopefully I won't have to worry but just want to be prepared.

This has worked for some people. However, there have been some cases where the hens rejected the chicks.

Yes, Usually the momma hen will care for them.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
When the hen does hatch some chicks, you can do that.
I had a hen that hatched 4 chicks and I snuck 12 more under her over 3 days. She loved it!
