So I got a new incubator Monday. I have been trying to get the humidity and temperature right. I can get the temperature and humidity almost perfect without the vent plugs in but I'm worried when lockdown comes the humidity and temperature are going to rise. With the vent plugs in the humidity is 63% and the temperature is 102.6 The incubator is a hovabator model 1602N and it has a fan

Then leave the vent plugs out.

You want plenty of air exchange the last few days anyway. Even before they hatch they need more oxygen and need to get rid of carbon dioxide. You don’t want to suffocate your chicks. The vent plugs need to be out during hatch.
