Imagine my surprise!

I have a mixed flock of hatchery girls, all just 1yo, and all lay a light brown egg. My black sexlink lays the darkest egg, and that is still just a light/medium brown So imagine my surprise when I went out today and found this in the nest box...

I was even more surprised about this though...

The light brown egg in the link is actually just their normal size large egg (just over 2oz). The dark brown egg is 1/2oz, that was the big surprise, that it was so small.
