I am interested in buying some silkie eggs from Spain could you tell me more details about your experence and how it turned out? How much did it cost? Did the eggs hatch?

I too am interested in Importing eggs from Europe. I know a few people in The Netherlands and Germany but want to fully understand the process from the U,S side. If anyone is interested in co-op on importation....

I would be interested. To me, the major problem isn't the paperwork, it's finding a good breeder that has different types of birds that are not common here in the states, but not a huge amount of birds that you have to pay for many testing fees. Anyone know of any breeders like that in the UK or Europe?

Amount of paperwork aside...Ball park figure what is an estimate $$ total $$ of the whole process? Second, also ball park figure how long does this process take and would you think a walk through would be quicker?

I have been really busy at work so I haven't been able to pursue the process. I did find a breeder that was interested but dropped it after that. With all the things I see going with domestic U.S. Black Copper Marans, I will at some point give importation a try. It may take a trip to France but I want to find some pure uncrossed stock.

What about the Little Peddler strain? They are pure and uncrossed French BCM.
Brenda released them to the public about 2 years ago and several people
are selling them, uncrossed to other strains. You can get 12 hatching eggs for
only 175.oo plus shipping from Heavensent Ranch. That's a pretty good deal!
Yes, this strain is competitive in APA. There are pics online of multiple noted
wins with Little Peddler stock.
Best,
Karen

So I have read all the threads on importing hatching eggs and the federal website. I have found a breed that I have become passionate about. I am currently working with a club in the Netherlands to locate a breeder there. Has anyone since January 19th been working on a cooperative importation of hatching eggs from the UK region? Netherlands?

so where does the swan group of water fowl come in to a group to import . as ive a friend in the uk i need to ship some to mid west.
