a 6 hour round trip,but I came home with 8 Saipan. The breeders birds were HUGE

I'm in New Mexico so humidity is near to non-existent in the winter here. So hopefully that will even things out for me. If we do breakdown and get an incubator, we're going with the Little Giant with turbo fan and egg turner. I'm not playing around if we start hatching again.

Mine eat flock raiser crumbles and they are free range. Haven't lost a single one, other than the males we ate. Very nice meat.

Me, too! I only have hatchery Saipans, so would like to find a solid breeder of Saipans, Malays and Shamo to enhance the lower-quality birds that I have. They are some of the most interesting chickens we've ever owned!

So if anyone chimes in, please let me know, too!

Try looking in the sacramento craigslist under farm and garden. I have seen ads in there several times

I just found a breeder with 10 Saipan chicks 2-1/2hrs away. I'm picking them up Saturday!!!

@ Brideofchaos I have the number for a breeder that raises Oshamo,and Malays. A couple of weeks ago he had some grown Malay he was wanting to sell
