It's called a pudding stone. The majority of it is quartz and the red stone is Jasper. I'm still learning though, so I don't know a lot yet.What kind of rock is it?
Pudding stone is a "thing" in some places around here. I've heard of people who will buy it for about $1/lb, if they like the particular stone. They cut it into thin slices, polish, and hang them in windows as sun catchers. I've seen some stunning ones.
Do they mean locally to you in MI or in Michigan in general, because they're all over the beaches on Huron.According to some Michigan rock hounders we don't have these in our area.
