Whaaaa? So not a Parakeet? -what will it be like grown? How big? interesting!

No, not a parakeet. A little parrot. They are about the same size as a parakeet but chubbier like a lovebird. Smaller than a lovebird. Huge personalities. I originally started raising them because they reminded me so much of my macaws. Except microscopic in comparison.

My best friend that helped me with my blood testing today has a young parrotlet the same color as yours which she got as a baby. They are tiny.

Do they have the lifespan of the full-sized parrots?
Can they be taught to talk?

They can talk but not much. The lifespan isn't nearly as long as a Macaw. If memory serves it is about 30 years.

Seeing those babies has reminded me that I want Cayugas very much. I almost chose those instead of welshies...... Their lil black webbers are so adorbs....
