Incubator temperature question

I built a hatcher/incubator, it has a GQF double fan with heat element. I have the Inkbird ITC 1000 controller and it will build up to 100 degrees (Set temperature) and cuts off, falls to 99 degrees (set Temperature) and cuts back on but the temperature on the controller continues to drop to 98.6 and then heats back up to 100. Is that to much drop to harm the hatch?

My first incubator I built would fluctuate from 97-102. I got a 75% hatch rate out of it. My most recent one would turn heat on at 37c then off at 38c which is roughly your fluctuation. I just got a 70% hatch rate out of it. Would have been higher but I just couldn't get my humidity up during lockdown and hatching. I just use PC fans for airflow. That controller is pretty cool, I just programmed an Arduino I had for mine.

TLDR: yes those temps should be good.

thats a good range if it can hold it in varying conditions ... id test several spots internally to see how it reacts to humidity and see how well it holds it in that range with varying ambient to ...
