Inquiring Chicken Minds Want To Know!

In the morning, after I let my girls out of their coop, they skedaddle out and beyond their pen, and out into the larger yard for their day ranging. But lately, I've had some students coming back to check out just what I'm doing to their "classroom!" What I'm doing of course, is cleaning out the chicken poop in their coop. On this particular day, Precious, the head mistress of my younger Golden Sex Link flock wanted to know EXACTLY what was going on. I had the feeling that if my answer wasn't forth coming quickly, that she was about to sound the alarm that their coop "gold" was about to be stolen! The next thing I knew, there were several curious birds back up in the coop demanding an explanation. They were still looking around when I had finished to see if any diamonds were missing! They were. I'm going to use them for the orange tree to be planted nearby. The first three pictures are of Precious. She's extremely inquisitive.
