Interest in a Emu hatch along?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone was about to incubate any EMU chicks as I am this coming weekend and was wondering if there was any interest in a hatchalong? Thanks

I want an emu and think hatching one would be such an exciting experience!
I keep telling myself I can’t have one, not right now..... too much going on.... ugh, but I still want one.
I told my mom some women get baby fever but I have baby emu fever Everytime I see a baby emu I get that twisted gut yearning feeling. Haha.

I have 2 acres fenced in with a 4ft fenced and hope they will have enough room not to leave lol. I would like to keep a few to sell a few eggs. They don't have a very high hatch rate, especially for a novice so I'm just hoping I can get one to hatch.

Ahhh so jealous! I will totally be an avid reader of the thread but no emus here.....yet

We are planning to move to more land in the next few years and by then my kiddos will be a little older so it'll be a bit safer to have them around the farm.

I could manage a 5ft fence just fine, it’s what my chickens currently have. A 6ft fence would be very challenging. And I’ve read they should have up to 8ft That I can’t wrap my head around. Haha.

I know a lady a few hours south of me that has no issues with a 4 to 5ft fence. We will see lol
