Interesting brooder - pic

My garden tub is now my chicken brooder for the next couple months. Thought it was interesting enough to share

Just a suggestion--I'd angle that heat lamp straight down so in heats a smaller area. In a heated house you need to be sure they can get away from the heat more than you need to warm them up. The majority of the brooder space should be ambient temp, not heated by the lamp.

Actually, I tilted it down just a little bit ago

. I put my hand under it to see how warm it was and it wasn't very warm.. tilted it down and it was nice and toasty.
