Introducing myself!

Hi I'm Susan. I had chickens when I was younger, but didn't have the money for a proper coop and ended up losing birds over time to predators. Now that I am at retirement age, I want chickens again. We have about 1 acre of land in the suburbs. Hubby is building an AWESOME chicken coop and run in the backyard. My chick are almost old enough to move out there, so he is working hard to get it completed. I hope to start painting it this afternoon. I have 12 pullets and two cockerels. Most re Barred Rocks, but I think I have 4 black laced golden wyandottes. We got them at Atwoods, and were told they were Ameraucanas (or perhaps Easter Eggers) but they are feathering out like a BLGW. Also two little yellow chicks from the straight run tank that are turning red. One has developed early wattles, so a male there. Can't wait to get them in their new home. I will have some questions about managing the flock well.
