Introduction a duck to their coop

Hi everyone! Need some input if anyone has any advice. We are trying to introduce Stanley and Dewey to their coop outside. They have been staying in the garage since they were little because Stanley is unable to walk and has splints on. (See first post). Last night we tried to put them in their coop for the first time for the night and she completely freaked out! Would stop wiggling around. Flapping her wings to move. Pure panic. We want them to be able to sleep in the coop at night, since they can’t be in the garage their whole lives. Also, she uses her wings to get around and their run has chicken wire, so we don’t want her to cut herself. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to pad the chicken wire there she can reach so she doesn’t cut herself? She needs to be able to have some peep hole, as she enjoys to sight see all day long. Was it dark when you put them out there? Maybe try when it's still light out?
I'm not sure how to help with the chicken wire/padding.
