Introduction

I live in South Africa
I have a mixed flock - Austrolops, Orpington Buffs, Copper Maran Rooster, and some un-identifiable chickens (which I call my scrappies)
I have had chickens for 17 yrs but have never really went in for them.
Now they are like my children.
I started incubating eggs and have put a clutch in for the first time on 29 Nov 2017 so I'm holding thumbs. (We don't have a reliable electricity power supply) and we are working on changing to Solar.
I still do need a lot of info

Hi and welcome to BYC - great that you have joined us.

I have had to deal with intermittent power supply when incubating and in my experience, as long as outages are not very long (less than ten hours or so) things still seem to be ok.
