I saw this after I purchased an Ecoglow. Does anyone have this new Premier heat plate and want to share how they like it?

Thanks!

I think that it is a brand new product. I was going to order another Ecoglow, but after getting the new Premier 1 catalog and seeing their design, I am excited to try it for half the cost!

Oh, and if anyone is wondering, the wattage is almost the same for the Brinsea 50 and Premier's 50 (60 watts and 62 watts, respectively).

My Ecoglow just came in the mail today. I'm considering returning it to try this product instead. Decisions, decisions......

I really wanted a Ecoglow 50, but the price was too much. I'm glad that I waited! Definitely getting the 50. They are also a little bit bigger than the Ecoglows.

The Premier webpage didn't show the dimensions...they also show a 'cover' for sale but not pics showing with and without said cover.
I emailed asking these questions, will see if I get an answer.

@Caitlin_VT did you order the cover? Does the catalog give the dimensions?

The 20 is 12" x 12". The 50 is 24" x 16". If you add the product to your cart it gives the dimensions. In their catalog they show pictures with and without the cover. I did not get it because you can cover the top with a piece of that thicker cling wrap (forget what its called!) and just peel it off when you are done brooding = no mess to clean off the top!

I'd be interested in the quality of the 1/2 price units. I'll let somebody else risk their chicks.
