Is it bad that my coop is built like this?

I have that same kind of wire. Pretty strong stuff. The only problem may be that coons can reach through anything bigger than 1/2" and grab a part and eat it.

Yeah - it wouldn't even have to be over the whole pen, but at least a large section where their roosts are....

We have hinges going on and that is going to be storage for our two heat lamps, the sick feeder, chick waterer etc, when they are not in use. definately cover your pen in half inch by half inch galvanized hardware cloth cause coons, foxes and dogs can tear through chicken wire and weasels can squeeze through so I would cover it fast.
