I feed a mixture of equal parts black oil sunflower seeds, cracked corn and race horse whole oats. A little more in the winter, a little less in the summer. They also get leftovers from the house (when we have any). I have my birds in so many different runs, it is hard to give everyone a bowl of fresh treats very often. Plus all the runs are padlocked and it takes a while to unlock, re-lock.

Just put a broccoli flowerette in with the chicks. So funny to see them run around.

My chickens do the same thing. They love you. Like allen wranch noted, it's jus a chicken thing.
