Is it possible to breed for loud/quiet crowing?

I've heard of the breed (can't remember the name) that has a very long and lowd crow. That was likely bred for, wasn't it? So if you can breed for loud and longer crowing, could you breed for quieter crowing? Or does it not work like that because each individual bird has their own voice?
I just kind of thought of this out of the blue and I'm wondering if it's possible.

In theory it should be possible. But it would take some serious record keeping.
