Is my buff Orpington up to the SOP?

Its not very serious. People have shown hatchery quality birds before and they have done well.
If you want to go for it, you should! Have you shown before? I know there's a certain amount of prep involved, maybe even dietary changes, and health checks prior to entry. It would be a good learning experience either way!

Do you know someone who has a copy of the SOP? I know for my breed I have only been able to find the Australian standard online. You may wish to join an Orpington society if you want to learn more...

This is my first year. I got a splash marans and Blue laced red wyandotte to show along with her. I got a sepreat coop for them so we should be good. I have been reading some articles about showing them.

Do you think she could still do well in show?
No, but you should still show her, it's a fun experience.

Here's a couple shots of my girl as a pullet (pardon the funny angle maybe on the second pic), I need to get some good ones more current, but I always thought she had a beautiful tail angle like the real SOP birds. I would probably still want to breed her and then show maybe one of her chicks if I were to get some good looking ones.
I agree, she really does look nice.
