Is my chick a Black sex-link or not? Male or female??

Hello,

So I just got this chick looks like a black sex-link pullet but not 100% sure, they said she was a month old but she looks small. Can anyone confirm the breed and sex and age? She's all black with some white on her chest area....

Also I put her in with my other 3 Red sex-link chicks that are about 6 1/2 weeks old. As soon as I put the black chick in the coop one of the other chick's attacked her, but they have seem to calm down. It doesn't look like they have accepted her yet but they only been together a few hours. Will the other chicks eventually accept her? Was it wrong to just introduce one chick to the flock? Any advise would be great...

if it is a black sex link then the gender is based on if the chick has a white patch on his\her head at birth correct? or is the white patch something that is grown-in after sometime?

Black sex links are sexable a hatch. The cockerels hatch with a white spot on their heads, the pullets don't have spots.

BSL cockerels are barred, pullets are black. So, if this chick is a sex link she is a pullet.

It could also be a Jersey Giant or a black mixed breed chick. It does look to be about 4 weeks old. They should accept her eventually, it will just take time. It could be months before she is a part of the flock.
