Pullet. The male chicks don't have the definied areas of color like that. Both female and male Legbars are barred and should have the head spot, though it isn't always apparent.
i found this thread from 2015 and the guys supposed pullet color one turned out to be a cockerel… even though it was dark colored but it had the pale spot on its head. i linked the post below to kind of show what im talking about. :)

thank you for replying. 💕

Female. Male Cream Legbars could not be brown, they are gray. Are you sure that the chick is purebred?
I can’t be 100% sure they came from hoovers so i’m going to assume they are. i found a post on here from 2015 where someone had a cream legbar they weren’t sure about that is dark colored like mine with the pale spot and it did end up being a male. so i’ll cross my fingers and hope it’s boy.
i’ll link it below and add pics from the post.

That is unusual for Cream Legbar chicks; the only thing I can think of is that they are not purebred.

I still think yours is a pullet. We've seen several female legbars with head spots in here. If you compare your chick with the four in that photo, you can see how different they are. Those birds are murkier in color, and though they have some indications of the chipmunk pattern, the borders are fuzzier, the colors not so deeply contrasted or as clearly delineated. Especially on the backs of the heads. I mean, there is no 100% guarantee. Autosexing breeds must be maintained as such or they will degrade and it will become increasingly difficult to tell the sexes apart as chicks. But to me yours seems to be a clear pullet based on what I've seen before.
