I think this is a leghorn breed. Correct me if I am wrong. About 8-9 weeks old. It is just so much bigger than my easter egger that I started to think rooster?

Ok, its a girl. But we just got chickens and the kids have imprinted on them :) Will she have to be butchered or will she be able to keep growing and her legs and heart will be ok. Just started homesteading and I cant kill anything yet (besides snakes)

You can try restricting her feed to keep her from putting on weight. Some folks have kept them as pets. They are said to have great personalities.

I wish I could remember who was able to prolong their little lives. But I'm drawing a blank. You might do a BYC search to see what you can find.

Cornish cross. She will likely need to be processed, but with a very restricted diet a somewhat quality of life may be maintained.

@Weeg has experience with raising CX as pets.
