I believe you have a cockerel then! But as I'm not even sure what kind it is, I could be wrong, so hopefully someone with knowledge of this breed chimes in and helps out!

I was told it was a barred rock but by looking at pics I think that (s)he is a mix. We have heard some crow-y noises but I really like her and want to make sure before I have to get rid of he(r).

Ya if they said BR, they lied! just a mixed breed and I'm not good at distinguishing what is mixed with what!
