I am asking about the one on the perch facing the camera. This chick is 4 to 5 weeks and has very short tail feathers.

Mine at 8 weeks-yours has the same color feathers but a smaller comb. How old is yours? He stood on my shoulders to crow. I rehomed him right after This picture. So disappointed!

That bird is a hero. He saved 9 hens from a predator dog attack, and died trying to save one more hen. Rest in peace my beloved rooster "Peeps" You are loved and missed!

My heart goes out to you! Your boy reminded me of my Wyandotte- whom passed due to a hawk attack when he was protecting his ladies.
Always sad to see a good roo go. Thank you for sharing the story and picture.
