Good morning!
I woke up to this loud munchkin! Her eyes are shut but she gets up and chirps. Then goes to sleep. Do their eyes take time to open?
Also do I leave her in there for a day or move her to the electric hen (heat plate)? First time hatching. Not sure what’s normal.

This is manual. So no egg turning since day 18. Brinsea mini eco model.
👍🏻 I'm off to bed, it's after midnight here. Hopefully one of these folks that hatches will be along to help you soon. If not, from what I've read, when your chick is dry you can take it out and put it in your brooder. I don't know the answer to the question about its eyes, sorry. Good luck with your hatch!

When they first hatch, yes, most of the time they tend to have their eyelids closed for a while, after a few hours they should be opening back up more often than not. It's been eight hours and I suppose the chick is doing fine now, correct?

Yes her eyes opened and she’s fluffier. Other eggs are peeping with some cracks but this early chick seems bored. She climbs over other eggs, constantly cheeping (presumably to be let out).
