These pictures makes me laugh...for 4 chickens we installed two identical nest boxes. Is this what they mean by "favorite nest box"? They need to get their schedules figured out!

That's funny! Two of my largest hens will squeeze into one nest box sometimes - but I've never had three of them get in one box. Great photo!

Thanks! It was a lucky catch...it's when they first started to lay, I walked in and was trying to figure out exactly what I was looking at and how many were actually in there! I guess they never heard of "three's a crowd!"

Fifteen birds, five nest boxes. Every day there will be thirteen to fourteen eggs in ONE box and one, sometimes two eggs, in one of the other boxes from the girls who could not force their way into THE box and could not hold theirs any longer.

Chickens can be just as nutty as people...

Doesn't matter how many boxes I add, I get this almost every day. The killer are the ones who scream and cry to use a box when an empty one is right there. UGH!
