Hi, I have an 11 week old RIR ISA Brown mix and can't tell what it is. Its mother has a large comb and wattles so I don't know how much that means with this young one.

I thought so. He hasn't started trying to crow yet even though he is always with another cockerel of the same age that has been crowing for a week. He looks very much like his mother right now so I wasn't sure.

If he hasn't started trying to crow, then that is because he is scared of the other cockerel and is trying to appear less dominant in order to not get into a fight.

That makes sense. The other cockerel is very dominant and assertive. This one wants to be left alone. He isn't friendly toward people or the other chickens but isn't aggressive either. He has been regularly handled since being hatched but has always resisted it and obviously hates it. I wish he was friendlier.
