I wouldn't think so... Maybe they got breeds confused or are trying to scam you? It's always possible, but for being a rare breed, it's unlikely. There's still a possibility, of course. I say go try it!

Individuals will likely sell it for less to be competitive with the big players. But this seems a little too good to be true.

i think it’s probably on par for pet-quality birds. I see them for $50 or less pretty much everywhere.
