Hi all...
I need to treat my hens and roos for mites and worms.
I have tried the vasiline-bag balm on the legs and underbelly. although this does releave the simptons, they are very uncomfortable again in 4-5 days.
We also white washed the coop and cleaned it really well.
I have broke down and purchased ivermectin (oral horse paste) to give to them on bread.
I have looked up the dose and want to confirm with you folks that have experience.................
over one pound bird use a dose the size of a grain of uncooked rice?
smaller birds get half that? (don`t treat the babies?)
dose once a week for 3 weeks?
also, as I can`t eat the eggs... can I cook them and feed them to the little (4 week) old babies instead?
Thanks
Patricia
