Now that we know he is a cockerel, where would be the best place to find someone to take them? We tried Craig's List but that didn't work out.

We are not allowed to have roosters where we will.

I would suggest checking with your local feed store. They may know of someone who would like to have him. They may even have a bulletin board you can advertise him on. You might also try checking with your local 4h. One of the students might like to have him.
