Yes. We had 4 baby chicks for about 3 weeks before realizing our town did not allow them.

There are so many to choose from, but my wife and I tend to gravitate towards the more fancy or rare looking kinds.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I don't know if I/we have a favorite. They are all so good.

I like to collect things of historical significance.

We are a family of 5. I am actively trying to change the laws to allow chickens in town.

I found BYC several months ago and have gathered a TON of information about raising chickens as well as some of the legal adventures of others as that is where my focus is now. I decided to join because I wanted to reach out to other ND chicken owners or want-to-be chicken owners, and to see if anyone has considered taking the legal fight to the state level.
