Just found out one of my pullets is a rooster! What will his babies be size and color ideas? How do chicken genetics work???

I’ve just discovered that one of the babies my hen hatched (we had vent sexed and was told it was a girl) is now trying to crow? I have been wanting to get a rooster to play around with genetics and expand my flock anyway so he came around just in time! I’m unsure of how genes are even passed from parents to chicks so any advice is helpful? Along with any special care I should do now that there will be a rooster?

His name is Elvis and he is a 7 week old Lavender Orpington. He is from show quality parents and I’m hoping he’ll make cute babies…. But how do I know what’ll come out of those eggs?
We have the hens below ( any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!)
- 1 blue Ameracauna
-2 splash Ameracauna
- 1 buff Brahma
-1 olive egger
- 2 Easter egger
- 1 barred rock
-1 sapphire gem
- 1 wellsummer
- 1 white leghorn
- 1 cream legbar
- 6 Maran/Easter egger crosses
- 1 Red production

When should I expect him to start to try to get with the ladies too?

(He used to be in the large coop with mom and his 2 other siblings but he started getting plucked at and was losing feathers) I separated him with the 2 other chicks but I believe the siblings are both female will that be an issue?

Below are attached pictures of the handsome man and his soon to be flock of all the currently laying hens, some listed above are still chicks but I’ll need to know eventually😂 I also included a picture of all the eggs I get so far and color it’s missing the white eggs and some brown eggs

Sounds like a lucky man with this whole flock to himself!
Crossed with
- 1 blue Ameracauna-black and blue bearded, pea combed chicks
-2 splash Ameracauna-blue bearded, pea combed chicks
- 1 buff Brahma-black chicks with gold leakage (by leakage I mean a few gold feathers) pea combs, feathered legs
-1 olive egger- which one is that among the pictures?
- 2 Easter egger-which one is that among thr pictures?
- 1 barred rock-sex links, barred males and black females
-1 sapphire gem-black and blue chicks
- 1 wellsummer-black with gold leakage
- 1 white leghorn-paint chicks (white with some black dots)
- 1 cream legbar-sexlinks, males will be barred with gold leakage, females will be black with gold leakage
- 6 Maran/Easter egger crosses-which ones are these?
- 1 Red production- paint with red leakage, black with red leakage, or maybe white tailed red or black tailed red

When should I expect him to start to try to get with the ladies too?
4 months at the earliest.

I labeled the girls below! My olive egger is almost completely black and I don’t know her exact breed mix… unfortunately! The maran Easter eggers actually just hatched so I didn’t include a pic earlier but there should be one now! I have 3 silkie babies in there as well I’m hoping to add White Jersey giant, Blue laced Wyandottes, Ayam Cermani, and of course more silkies since that’s what’s in my incubator!!😂😂 I plan on separating the silkies from the large birds as I have hopefully Casper the silkie that hatched with Elvis and 3 chicks hopefully girls

X olive egger black chicks
X easter egger black with red leakage chicks or even black tailed red, will have pea combs and beards most likely
X Welsummer mix black chicks or black with gold leakage
x white easter egger who knows, recessive white can hide a lot of things, she’s very pretty though. Beards and pea combs likely.

Thank you so much, my white Easter egger (Gia) lays the prettiest lime green eggs! Also on the topic how do I determine what egg colors his babies would lay?

Well they will all have either a brownish or green cast.
Brown/cream when bred with white or brown layers, greenish when bred with blue layers… who knows with Easter Eggers though, since you don’t know if they are homozygous or heterozygous for the blue gene.
