just hatched baby chick question

Should I snip it right by the egg shell. I have other eggs in there and I don't want to have the incubator open for too long. None of the others have even pipped yet, this chick was two days early. They weren't supposed to start hatching until tomorrow. I locked them down yesterday morning around 7 o'clock in this first chick started pipping four hours later. I thought maybe I could just pull that away from the shell or I could just cut it but you think that's all right to do it that way?

I don't think it matters much where it gets snipped. It will dry up and fall off soon enough either way.
