I am totally new at the chicken game and really lovin it. I only have room for 9 birds at maturity so. i have 5 black sex links 2EEs and 2 marans and would like a good mix.But don,t know alot about there behavior. I have a chance to get 2 black asterloupes and could give 2 sex links away i would just like others opinions on the matter as the sex links don,t seem as freindly as the others. I have aussies and sex link and i find they are both very good layers and friendly.

It is really a matter of preference. You are going to get A LOT of different opnions on this. I have EE's and love them. The others I don't have. The more you handle them the better they sould be. Are you sure 9 is all you can have??

Those are all nice, but keep in mind integration is a huge pain. Basically you have to figure out if changing out a couple of chooks is worth the hassle of quarintine and integration.
